PEACH to hold work-in-progress session on May 26
Project leads: Erin Boulger, Avery Cowen (Pediatrics)
Background: Parent or caregiver access to a patient portal after a child is discharged from the hospital is important because it improves communication, supports safe recovery, and helps families manage follow-up care more effectively.
After discharge, parents are often responsible for complex care instructions, medications, appointments, and monitoring symptoms at home. Portal access gives families a reliable way to review discharge instructions, check medications, view test results, and communicate with the medical team if questions arise.
Project aim: To evaluate whether parent/caregiver portal access for childen previously hospitalized at Mott varies by race.
Project status: We are currently collecting data for this project.
