Recruiting for Additional Faculty Mentor for PEACH

Deadline: Applications will be accepted through December 24th, 2024

Start Date: Between January 15th to February 15th, 2025

The Program for Equity in Adolescent and Child Health (PEACH) seeks to add a research faculty member to serve as a mentor on equity-based research and quality improvement projects in pediatrics at Michigan Medicine. The faculty mentor will advise leaders of specific PEACH projects.  They will work with a small team of faculty mentors to vet research design and improvement plans, and contribute to decisions regarding research methods, data extraction, and interpretation of data. The ideal candidate will bring critical thinking, expertise in clinical or health services research and/or quality improvement, and a commitment to improving child and adolescent health equity here at Michigan Medicine.

The Program for Equity in Adolescent and Child Health (PEACH)

PEACH is a research and improvement program committed to eliminating inequity in pediatric care and experience. We take an interdisciplinary, data-driven approach to identifying inequities and use quality improvement expertise to develop systems-level approaches to eliminating any inequities identified. To carry out our work, PEACH functions as a hub of resources available to those in partnering units (including 13 clinical departments and Mott Hospital) who have submitted a clinical or patient experience question about pediatric equity.  PEACH provides support to help faculty and staff explore their equity-related ideas, translate feasible ideas into research, and implement quality improvement programs to address any inequities identified through research.
